Lloyd Budd works for Automattic as the WordPress.com VIP Hosting Services Lead. He enjoys this role as he loves finding elegant solutions to people’s software needs, and squishing bugs of the the software variety.
When not working, he’s raising his currently expanding brood in Victoria, BC, Canada. Lloyd is a reservist in the Free Culture Force. When he retires in 70 years, he dreams of owning a vat protein deli or being a used driveless car salesman.

Paul Holmes is President of IdeaZone.ca, a recognized leader in website design since 2000. Paul gained recognition as an authority on Social Media after organizing several successful online campaigns that embraced the technology. He is the Social Media architect for the Greater Victoria Chamber of Commerce and co-founded the Victoria chapter of the Social Media Club. Paul is also a contributor to many popular blogs, including his own, and regularly speaks to various groups regarding the effective use of social media.
Chris Burdge
bWEST Interactive
Topic: Promoting Your Blog Using Social Media
Chris is President of bWEST Interactive, a marketing services firm that helps companies create genuine & lasting relationships with their target audience using social media. Chris has worked with fortune 1,000 clients and local businesses like Aviawest, Island Hearing and Scooter Underground, as well non-profits like Habitat for Humanity and Power To Be, to develop effective social media strategies. Chris is a regular speaker at conferences, trade shows and corporate events on social media strategies and trends.
Jeff Richards

Jeff spends much of his time manging Constant-Content.com, a content marketplace where freelance writers connect with online publishers. In addition, Jeff is part of the management team at RevenueWire, a e-commerce platform through which online businesses can sell a wide range of digitally downloadable products . An engineer at heart, and by education, Jeff loves finding ways to make things a little easier, a little simpler and (dare I say it) a little more automatic.

Gil has more than thirty years experience in sales, marketing and management in the consumer electronics, software and computer hardware industries. He has owned and operated five successful businesses in the Victoria BC area, was the sales manager for Western Canada for DEC’s PC Business Unit and has held VP Sales and Marketing roles at DSG Communications and Victoria-based Tactex Controls Inc.
Gil has been involved in internet-based initiatives since 1996. He has also consulted to several companies in the areas of sales and marketing helping them to effectively position themselves as they move into new markets.
Kerry Slavens

Topic: Establishing and Running a Multi Author Blog
Kerry is an award-winning writer who has mastered a wide diversity of writing genres, from creative non-fiction to poetry. As a former newspaper and magazine editor and writer, she has been widely published. She taught journalism at Western Academy of Photography, and creative writing at College of the Rockies. Her poetry has been published in distinguished international publications such as The Malahat Review and she is co-author of Gravity & Light.
She has also acted as ghostwriter for the books of several successful CEOs. Since graduating from the University of Victoria’s Creative Writing Department in 1988, her career has continuously involved writing and design. For 14 years, Kerry has been CEO and Creative Director at Artemis PR & Design, a branding communications firm located in Victoria, British Columbia. Artemis allows Kerry to fully pursue her love of blending the written word with incredible graphic design and multimedia. Kerry is a columnist for Helijet’s InFlight Review magazine.
